Joico K-Pak Intense Hydrator Treatment Review

ANOTHER rave review for you all today and it comes in the form of the Joico K-Pak Intense Hydrator Treatment.

It's really wonderful.  I have long, colour treated (I'm a blonde!) hair and I often find it to be dry after it being dyed. This treatment is my hero in the hair department, I use this product around two times a week and it leaves my hair feeling soft, nourished and strong. It also smells A.M.A.Z.I.N.G - my hair smells like a strawberry and banana milkshake for ages!!

Now down to the chemistry of it ...

It's fairly simple really!

Our hair is made up of a protein called keratin. All proteins are made up of amino acids and this treatment replaces our hairs protein. As a result of this, the hairs cuticle repairs and becomes softer and stronger. This product also contains lipids which is basically fat molecules, this also repairs the hairs health.

It's a miracle product.

Bracelets of the Day - No. 3

Hey everyone, just a quick post to show you some bracelets I have been loving recently. They are both rose gold and what I really love about them is that one is quite pricey and the other is not, but they look great together!

Hope you like them!

Bootylicious

Bit of a naughty post for you all today ... are you all ready for some shoe porn?

Okay, so if you haven't noticed the hideous pun for a title and the explicit introduction - I am rather excited about a little purchase I made on a trip to Edinburgh. I am so in love with these gorgeous ankle boots from Topshop, I could go on ... but I thought the photos would do them more justice!

Also comes in grey, bordeaux and navy.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser Review

Hey everyone! I have a rave review for you all - the infamous Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturiser. After running out of my No. 7 tinted moisturiser - mediocre - I decided to splash out on the LM one as it is rather well known in the beauty world.

I decided to go for the oil free version - also comes in regular and illuminating - not because I have oily skin but because I think that the oil free lasts longer on my skin during the summer. It comes in ten shades (I have the shade nude) which I think is an excellent variety, considering most tinted moisturisers only come in the classic: light, medium and dark. The £33 for 50ml price tag sounds bad but when you compare it to Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua - £32 for 30ml - you get much more for your money. The LM works out as 66 pence per ml whereas the Chanel works out at £1.06 per ml. This is not a dig at Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, I adore that foundation ... but my purse doesn't!

Now down to the formula ... it's quite simply, wonderful. It's incredibly moisturising compared to other tinted moisturisers and velvety soft on the skin. It actually feels like it's doing something, maybe the rave reviews that I have read are causing the placebo effect, but my skin does feel great when wearing it.

It blends out into a sheer, light coverage base with a dewy glow on the skin. I have fairly sensitive skin and it does not irritate it at all, although I can't say how it will be on your skin. The lasting time on this tinted moisturiser for me is around seven to eight hours and that is with a setting powder, which for a tinted moisturiser is pretty good. This tinted moisturiser is ideal for work and school and for those of us who don't like a heavy foundation on a day to day basis. I love it!

Nail of the Day - Fiji by Essie

Hey everyone! If you read one of my previous posts - a wishlist - you will know that I have been lusting after Essie's Fiji for quite some time. Whilst in Boots, the excitement and shock that it finally had an Essie stand was too much and I snatched up Figi in an instant.

The formulation of this creamy, pastel pink is excellent. Although I needed three coats to obtain opacity - to be expected from a pale pink polish - the quality is amazing. Hats off to Essie for creating yet another fabulous polish!

A Festival Makeup Bag

Hey everyone! Some of you may know that in the UK festivals are huge and I was lucky enough to go to T in the Park in Scotland. It rained, I had to sleep in a tent and the phrase "swimming in mud" was no longer metaphorical but nevertheless, I had the most amazing time. The line up was incredible and being with my friends made it all the more bearable ... last cheesy line I promise!

I thought I would show you the makeup I took with me as I know some of you may also be going to a festival, but this also would be great makeup to bring to the beach or for a very relaxed day.
